Infrastructure Team You will help to build and sustain strong technology foundations forming the bedrock of GIC’s digital solutions. What will you do as an AVP, Infrastructure Systems Security Engineer? Serve as a focal point in aligning IT Infrastructure with cybersecurity policies and guidelines, actively participating in the design, enhancement, and implementation of internal processes. Collaborate closely with stakeholders from technology and business groups on matters related to Infrastructure Security. Detect and assist in mitigating security issues, misconfigurations, system hardening, and vulnerabilities within the IT Core Infrastructure departments. Recognize and spearhead the implementation of technical and process improvements related to Infrastructure Security. Formulate, implement, and monitor the effectiveness of security measures to safeguard information, network infrastructure, and computer systems. Determine security requirements for assigned products, tasks, codebases, or systems. Offer consistent Security guidance on new Infrastructure and technologies. Create solutions to counteract security vulnerabilities. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that vulnerability remediation efforts comply with the organization's Security Standards and Procedures. Conduct technical security assessments, upgrade plans, and RCA reviews as needed. Set up, troubleshoot, and maintain security infrastructure software and hardware when necessary. Resolve system patch issues, collaborating with other technical teams and vendors. Mentor Level 2 teams to address infrastructure-related issues or conflicts with a focus on IT security. What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role? Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Have a minimum of 7 years of IT experience, preferably in the financial services or asset management industries, with at least 4 years in Cyber Security or Information Security. Willingness to learn and work in a diverse environment, interacting with multiple teams and functions to support security strategic goals. Be an effective team player with strong analytical abilities, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills. Have hands-on experience in implementing and managing IT security solutions for both On-premises and Cloud environments. Have hands-on experience in computer security combined with risk analysis, audit, and compliance objectives. Have demonstrated exposure and experience in Vendor management. Have the ability to handle and manage multiple BAU tasks and project works. Have a good understanding of Security Patching, Vulnerability remediation, and security hardening. Possess strong knowledge of Security technology tools and systems for process management and implementation deployment security control. Have proven experience in developing, operating, and maintaining security systems. Have working experience with other cybersecurity products such as SIEM, threat intelligence, security incident response and forensic investigation, network and endpoint protection, and others would be advantageous.
