Real Estate We were an early entrant among institutional investors in real estate including traditional private real estate (brick-and-mortar assets), public equities, real estate investment trusts, and real estate-related debt instruments. Capital Markets The Capital Markets team is part of the Real Estate team and is responsible for arranging and managing external debt financing globally, together with our Joint Venture partners (where relevant), for the investments made by Real Estate and Infrastructure teams. We are looking for a suitable candidate to join our Capital Markets team as a AVP/VP in Singapore. What impact can you make in this role? You will be part of a team that ranks among the top global real estate investment firms and handles a multi-billion-dollar Real Estate portfolio globally. You will drive and implement debt financing strategy mainly in Asia, particularly in China, including arranging, and managing of financing, to drive alpha for the portfolio. What will you do as a AVP/VP? Evaluate and execute optimal financing structures for projects and drive the negotiation of financing term sheets and credit agreements with Lenders and external counsel Monitor loan covenants and significantly contribute to the leverage review on loans taken for the portfolio Prepare the internal financing approval process with other internal stakeholders Prepare internal and external presentations Coordinate transaction execution workstreams, internal and external reporting What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role? A good university degree preferably in the area of finance, accounting or banking At least 7 years' relevant experience, preferably in real estate debt financing or debt capital markets Experience in China and other major Asian Real Estate markets would be an advantage Good understanding of financial structures and ability to communicate complex, abstract and/or difficult messages in simple, clear manner Strong financial modelling skills and meticulous with details and accurate with numbers Good ability to collaborate with managers in designing effective presentations Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Excel, with a proficiency in using Bloomberg being a desirable skill as well Possess an analytical mind and is a committed team player Is results oriented and enjoys working in a fast-paced work environment As the team works on Real Estate financing deals in Asia, including China, business level fluency in Mandarin would be required Work at the Point of Impact We need to be forward-looking to attract the right people to help us become the Leading Global Long-term Investor.
