Location RemoteSingapore Job Summary We are seeking a seasoned and dedicated Financial Controller to join our team. You will play a crucial role in our organization, providing financial management including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. Financial Controller’s responsibilities will also include financial risk management. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with international accounting standards, and helping to drive informed decision-making across our operations in the US, Singapore, India and the UK. This is a position based in Singapore, offering an excellent opportunity to work in a global setting. About The Role Financial Accounting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the organization. Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring timely completion. Help review and prepare financial statements, including consolidated financial statements. Conduct financial analysis and provide insightful reports to management. Liaise with external auditors and relevant government authorities on audit/ accounting issues and tax agents on tax reporting. Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow, banking activities, and financial transactions. Develop and implement cash flow forecasting models to ensure adequate liquidity. Monitor and analyse cash flow fluctuations, identifying risks and opportunities. Collaborate with stakeholders to optimise cash management strategies. Bookkeeping: Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and managing accounts payable and accounts receivable. Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports. Financial Analyst: Work closely with management to understand business needs and provide financial insights for decision-making. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse financial data, identify trends, and support business strategies. Provide guidance on financial implications for new initiatives, projects, and expansion plans. Skills and Qualifications You'll be a good fit if you have: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are highly desirable. Possesses practical experience in fundraising activities and demonstrates proficiency in building financial models. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Advanced English proficiency level. Proven experience as a Financial Controller, preferably with international accounting exposure. Good working knowledge of FRS, Consolidation, Taxation. Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process. Proficiency in using Xero and MS Office applications. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Flexibility to work across different time zones and adapt to changing priorities.
